In addition to our core competencies we also operate in other areas of the maritime sector.
United Fuel Services (UFS) is a joint enterprise of the Hartmann Group, Reederei Briese and Schoeller Holding. Since 2007 UFS is purchasing the total bunker requirements for these firms, permitting UFS to realise economies of scale that benefit participating companies in optimising fuel costs.
Ems Offshore, also a joint venture with Reederei Briese, offers pontoons and tugs for transports around Europe. As a special company for heavy-lift transport and sea towage, Ems Offshore carries vessel components, crane and bridge parts, gas tanks and containers, sections of submarines, RoRo-goods and new building components.
The IT company Shipdex is introducing a protocol which markedly improves the exchange of technical and logistic data between various companies in the maritime industry.
